Comforting & Joyous Poems

Covered first in poetry contest
What peace we are afforded being covered by the blood of Christ, cleansing us of guilt and shame.

Signs
This poem was written about my friend Rachel who passed away from Stage 4 Colon Cancer three years ago. It is a reminder that though our loved ones may be gone, they never truly leave us.

Joy Will Come In the Morning
Psalm 30: 4-5Sing praise unto Jehovah, O ye saints of his, And give thanks to his holy memorial name. For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a life-time: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy cometh in the morning.

Ode to the Church Meeting first in poetry contest
How we have yearned to meet as a body for worship these last 3 months under Covid - 19 restrictions.

HOPE HEALS DISPAIR
I sent this little poem to a friend who was in the final stages of cancer. Whatever our difficulty, cling to the knowledge God is there. He has not left you.

You're Evidence
God created us to be good people, and gave His Son to save us from our sins.. We're not here to look down upon each other or ourselves. Our Creator and Redeemer does not make mistakes.

Comforting Memories
Losing a loved one is always difficult. Yet we can find comfort in remembering what a blessing they were to us. Someday the joy of their presence will be ours again when we are united by Christ Jesus.

TEARS
There are different types of tears--of joy, of fear, of grief, of regret. The answer to all lie at the foot of the Cross.

IN A LITTLE WHILE
In a world so full of troubles and wickedness, we anxiously await God's call. Sometimes it seems it seems so far off. Yet Peter said God is not slow in keeping His promises, --He is just extending grace a bit longer, not wanting anyone to perish.
