Poems About Virtue & Christ-likeness

When a grudge invades your heart, release it to the Lord. Don't let it take hold of you and have its way. A grudge has a way of festering - It is better to forgive and be free from its grip.

Teach Us - Help Us - Bless Us
As God's chosen people, He desires for us to humble and compassionate toward others - to bear with one another and be forgiving. This is a prayer asking the Lord to "teach us - help us - bless us."

Judging Others
Have you ever been judged by another, who never took the time to get to know you? Did they judge you by your appearance? Have you done the same? Some tend to look at the speck in another's eye and not pay attention to the plank in their own.

Seventy times seven
Inspired by Matthew 18 : 21 - 22 Then came Peter to Him, and said: “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?” Jesus said to him: “ I say not to you, until seven times; but until seventy times seven.”

Vessels Unto Honour
2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Righteous Is Godly
In the attempt to serve God, as we do things to honor Him, we need to be righteous.

Integrity - What it is, and what it takes.

This poem strives to express that true success in this life is not the worldly view of monetary gain, but having Jesus living within and modeling His character.

How often?
As I was writing this poem, I felt convicted, and I realized how much all of us fall short of Christ-like love for our neighbor. It also inspired me to try and do better in my Christian walk from now on. Thank you, God, for Jesus our righteousness!
