Funny Poems

Cross Stitch at Forty Paces
A fun look at cross stitch competitions at the local fair. We must use the gifts God gives us to honour Him

Wrinkles finalist in poetry contest
We all age-it seems to creep up on us, then one day we look into the mirror and are surprised by what we see. Do we see an aging person, or look beyond those wrinkles and graying hair to see blessings and wisdom granted over the years? You be the judge.

The Gift of Laughter
This is not a funny poem, rather it is about humor and laughter. A precious gift from God; that we often abuse or ignore. I pray we will do neither of these things.

God Winked
God has a sense of humor

Tulips
Celebrating one simple aspect of the one God is using to grow me into His image.

Mark Almighty finalist in poetry contest
When people can't separate fact from fiction!

ONE HAIR HERE AND ONE HAIR THERE
We all get older and the body changes. Some put on weight; others get wrinkles; others get sagging muscles; some get ill, and some start to lose their hair. This poem is about the loss of hair and the expectation we will all be perfect one day.

If Mr. Rogers Visited Sodom
Mr. Rogers knew a thing or two about being a good neighbour. He would, however, have relocated from Sodom.

TROUBLE IN THE FLESH
Probably among the first poems I wrote. As Paul said "A Man who has a Wife has a good thing, but you will have trouble in the flesh" AMEN BROTHER
