Pray For Our President

Our great nation is a republic.
Its government branches are three.
They have checks and balances,
For we are the land of the free.

The important Executive branch
Has a President as its head.
Throughout our nation's history,
Some great Presidents have led.

From Washington to the present,
Our Presidents all had roles
In shaping American history
With decisions, policies, and goals.

The high office of President
Is an important position, indeed.
The presidential responsibilities
Are great, for he must lead.

Our great nation is very needy.
We really need God on our side.
We need to fervently pray each day
That God will be our great guide.

Every President is just human.
For the President, we need to pray
That God will lead and guide
In each decision along the way.
