The Chosen

by brian

Wrestling not with tangible being,
Walking by faith, not by seeing.
Unworthy of any Diety favors,
Communing with us still He savors.

Constantly tainted with self and sin,
His grace is persistant and mercy no end.
Beakoned from darkness into His light,
Watchmen unceasing engaged in the fight.

Yearning for a city whose maker is God,
Dimming the treasure of this depraved sod.
Endeavoring not to quench the Spirit,
Practice Theology, not just hear it.

Accepting the mission of warning others,
Persuaded by Christ changing heathen to brothers.
Striving example of Biblical servant,
Encouraging others in prayers fervent.

Instructing descendants in Biblical truth,
Focus on spiritual, not despising youth.
Oh, what an awesome responsibility,
Hell's feeding or starving has placed upon me.

Faint not while sowing the seed of His Word,
We're employed not to grow just to be heard.
Existing alone to exalt the Master,
Avoiding sin's snares and destructive disaster.

Forsaking not to assemble and mend,
As threads become rope and friend sharpens friend.
Yes, we are The Chosen, not deserving, but heirs,
Sent to free others from Hell's evil snares.
