God gave us flowers to enjoy

There is a beautiful garden of flowers;
The ground is moistened with rain and showers.
The golden glow grew very tall;
They lasted till late in the fall.

The violets were a pretty blue;
And dark blue pansies were there too.
Also roses of red and white;
God's flowers were a pretty sight.

There were various colors of hollyhocks,
And beautiful pink and white phlox,
Daffodils and lilies they were there too;
And by them pretty iris grew.

Some pretty chrysanthemums,
And some blue delphiniums too.
God gave us all these flowers and more;
For our enjoyment while on this earth.
