It's not about me

by Richard Penkethman

I wondered the earth and I was looking for treasures.
No matter the cost and no matter the measures.
I thought I was big, I thought I was clever.
I paid for it all, even my pleasure.
I woke up one day and my world have been shattered.
The people around me said the matter.
Through alcohol and drugs I tried to kill the grief.
No matter how much I took there was just no relief.
But God had a plan yet I didn't know it.
It took months of me crying, until He finally showed it.
See it's not about me but it's all about Him.
He came to the earth to take away my sin.
He lived to love and died to save.
He took my former self down to that grave.
You see I had died with Him, the day I realized.
That Jesus Christ is my only prize.
It's no longer I but Chris lives in me.
I had been walking around blind, but now I could see.
It's not about me, it's all about Him.
He's here in my heart, He's living within.
So I've got to share the good news he brings.
It's grace, mercy and peace that I'll sing.
It's not about me, it's all about Him.
He came to the earth to take away my sin.
See I am forgiven and I am saved, with my Lord Jesus Christ who has conquered the grave.
So Hallelujah we sing.
Praise to the King.
Hallelujah hallelujah.
This poems not about me it's all about Him.
He came to the earth to take away our sin.

James 4:3
"You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures."
