Your Choice

by Brian Smith

It's time to set the story straight of who created man.
The chance that we could be a fluke is more than I can stand.
We don't exist, we truly live and love and hope and feel.
You tell me how can you see that and tell me God's not real.
Now turn your eyes to heaven, friend, and tell me what you see.
A sky that's filled with sun and rain and air we need to breathe.
The ground you walk on yields us fruit and every kind of meat.
Don't tell me fate provided all we'd need to drink and eat.

I know it's not polite to say it in this day and age.
For you should have your freedom, you will choose the life you've made.
But the fact you don't believe in what I say of God and sin,
Won't change the fact "I AM" is now and He has always been.
So you can turn your back to Him and face this world alone.
But as for me, I know the truth. My Lord will call me home.

You think you have the choice to take whatever you can find?
Or that this world belongs to you? How could you be so blind?
You think because you don't believe that God is in control,
That you could somehow live your life, without His vital role?
He knows when every sparrow falls, so I'll bet He knows you're there.
In fact He knows your every thought, He's counted every hair.
This world will say that you're the one to make or break your life.
That's one of Satan's favorite lies; he revels in your strife.

You think that I can't understand the way you think and live.
I tell you that I've been there, and I chose what Jesus gives.
You think a Christian's one reward will come when they have died.
I tell you when you hear that, once again has Satan lied.
There's joy in every step I take, in every song I sing.
The beauty of the life He gives is found in everything.
I've said you have the choice to make; it's why I wrote this song.
But it's time that someone told you that the choice you made was wrong.

The years have past, and some forgot that Jesus said He'd come.
They think that just because they haven't seen Him that they've won.
They live their lives to please the only person that they love.
But when they're gazing to their mirror, they'll hear Him from above.
Our Father gave you life and yet you chose to look away.
But any day their knees will hit the ground and all will say.
"Behold the Lamb of God, in whom the fate of men relied!"
The day His holy trumpets sound, and he opens up the sky.
