Oh, how Thy excellent handiwork
Extols the glory of Thy presence!
The sea whirls and twirls and splashes
In a clash of effervescence.
White lightning flashes
And rolling thunder claps.
Surely these awesome wonders
Could not perchance be mishaps.
The sun beaming in it's gold-ness
Shines down from a sky of vast blue
Til the moon comes out to hang around
In velvet twilight hue.
The silvery stars twinkle
In random applaud.
They, too, give thanks
To an Almighty God.
The Earth yields forth lush vegetation
For our sustenance each day.
Flowers burst forth in a rainbow of colors;
What a glorious display!
The trees resound with the sounds
Of sparrows' delightful trills.
And I, too, lift my voice to sing hallelujah
As I lift my eyes to the hills.
Then I lift my eyes just a little bit higher
To the heavens up above.
I say "Thank You, Lord, for Your mercy
And sacrificial love.
Thank You, Lord, for saving me
When I was about to fall.
Now I know that I am, by grace,
Thy Most Excellent Handiwork of all.
