Jesus Arose Triumphantly!

by Margaret Cagle

Jesus died on Calvary's cross.
He's the Lamb of God, our sacrifice.
For our sins, He suffered loss.
With His blood, He paid the price.

They laid Him in a borrowed tomb
And sealed it with a heavy stone.
Enemies thought He'd met His doom.
They thought that He was surely gone.

After three days when morning came,
The huge stone was rolled away.
The tomb was empty! Praise His name!
Jesus arose triumphantly that day!

Victorious over death and the grave,
Christ Jesus triumphantly arose!
For lost sinners, he came to save.
He conquered death and all His foes.

Hallelujah! Praise His great name!
Christ Jesus arose and lives today!
I'm so glad that to earth He came
And died to wash my sins away!
