The Word

by TmB © 2018

Sometimes a day can only hold so much
Until it swells and explodes
Stress, disappoints and such

Childhood dreams work eight to eight
laundry fills Saturday’s and Sundays-it can wait

Children with homework and projects past due
Monday morning comes screaming
Where is my other running shoe

There in the corner it catches your eye
Covered in bills, and remotes stacked high
The Word quietly waiting for you
You decide again, to see what it can do

As you flip through the pages, you make up your mind
To trust in Jesus one more time

As you ask for his help and bow your head
His promises come alive
Printed in red

Monday morning comes screaming
