I Want You to Come, Lord

I want you to come, Lord,
But just not today.
There is one more soul, Lord,
For whom I must pray.

A dear friend diagnosed
With the big “C”,
A sweet and loving girl
But doesn’t know thee.

The man on the plane with
Beliefs unlike mine,
Asking questions in hope
The truth he might find.

Her school had a shooting
Young face streaked with tears,
No Savior to comfort
Her life filled with fears.

I want You to come, Lord,
But just not today.
There is one more soul, Lord,
For whom I must pray.
