Doughbag

by mike bullock
https://ploosh61.wordpress.com

Do I have to strive and strain
To gain acceptance to Your clique
Reeling off those endless prayers
Verse expander magnifique
Must I be good all the time
Can I make the odd mistake
Or am I consigned to where
The doughbags go to scream and bake.

What's this I here, You made a plan
To compensate for fools like me
You sent Your Son to die for us
He went through hell and agony
Just so You would give Your love
To those seen through the Saviours eyes
Oh thank You Lord for second chance
For all of us who are not wise.
