DESERT WINDS

by Joanne Kenzy

I could feel the desert wind
See the copper land begin
In the blush of that setting sun
I saw things to do, not yet done

Power for life came down that day
Like a spirit in the wind
Amid the smutty red clouds of dust
Were flames of hope and humble trust

I stepped into His destiny
With ambient words inside of me
"I know the plans I have for you
Things that no one else can do"

Sitting between heaven and earth
Hearing His will unfold
I knelt down in humble prayer
While the desert winds filled the air
