Greater is He within me

by Michelle Wells

"Nothing is wrong with having sex,"
"You know you want to give in."
"Don't worry about what God says about it,"
"It's only a 'Lil sin'."

"Don't keep loving people who hate you,"
"Surely that's no way for you to live."
"Start speaking a piece of your mind,"
"You know they deserve just what they give."

"Aren't you tired of trying to do right,"
"Just relax and be unguarded for one day."
"You deserve to just look out for yourself,"
"Stop being concerned for others when you pray."

"Stop being so 'conservative,'"
"You have a nice body, so show it all."
"Men want to see how sexy you are,"
"Begin to wear your clothes super tight and real small."

"Look at all the trials you're going through,"
"Don't you deserve to party all night?"
"Aren't you tired of living by this 'Faith' thing?"
"Just get loose and begin living by your sight."

"What makes you hold on to this Jesus?"
"I've so much to offer you."
"Instead of being the 'goody two shoes,'"
"I'm your gate to do what you want to do."

"I've offered these things to you several times,"
"Why won't you give it a try?"
"I can give you the material things,"
"If you can kiss this Jesus goodbye."

"Enough Satan!" I replied,
"I refuse to be your Fool!"
"A fool says in his heart there is no God,"
"So what you speak is a bunch of bull."

"I cannot live without my God,"
"Nor do I want to try."
"What you have failed to mention to me,"
"There is a Judgment after I die."

"I cannot hear my Savior say,"
"As I stand before his face."
"You must depart from me my child,"
"Choosing Satan's life has caused you disgrace."

"What profits a man,"
"To gain the world and lose his very soul?"
"Whatever void in life that I may have,"
"Jesus always seems to fill that hole."

"Nothing surpasses my Jesus,"
"I live by Faith, not what my eyes can see."
"Whatever obstacle I may face in this life,"
"Remember, GREATER is He within me!"
