A Glorious Place

by Margaret Cagle

Heaven is a very glorious place.
No sin is there, not even a trace.
We'll be with Jesus and God too
And saved loved ones that we knew.

All the saints of God, we'll see.
Wonder of wonders, that includes me!
All of the redeemed will be there
Forever to live with Jesus so fair.

We'll leave behind darkness and night,
For Jesus provides the brightest light.
Decay and aging, we'll leave behind
And all the cares that trouble the mind.

We'll see no sorrow and hear no groan.
We'll have no pain, not even a moan.
As soon as we step on that golden shore,
We will praise our Savior forever more.

We'll never be hot and never be cold.
We'll walk on streets of purest gold.
A mansion is waiting for even me.
Those gates of pearl, I want to see.

Such beauty and glory, I will behold,
And yet the half has never been told.
We know we have wonders we anticipate.
Just think of it all! I can hardly wait!
