I see the farmer
Strong and secure
Mending the fence
To make it endure.
Back bent to the wind
One goal in his heart
To protect and secure
He does his part.
This surrounds their lives
The flocks and herds
He will repair
Where the fence was disturbed.
Battered and worn
By life's circumstances
Our fence of life
Needs second chances.
I see the Savior
Strong and secure
Mending my fence
To make it endure.
Back bent to the wind
One goal in His heart
To protect and secure
He does His part.
He lovingly, tenderly
Places 'round me
A hedge of protection
And now I see.
Through testing and trials
I wondered, "Who cares?"
The realization
He's always been there.
With love for His flock
He mends and repairs
Their broken lives
He'll always be there.
