The lilies all await the hour
For the blooming of their flowers.
Ready to open and to show
The glory that their God bestowed.
They open to show their faces
To God, from their planted places;
Sweetening the air with fragrance
As with God's Spirit they dance.
They have not toiled, nor have they spun;
Kept solely by God's rain and sun,
To grow-up in the face of death.
Behold the beauty of their faith.
Our faith can be as pure as theirs
By forsaking our worldly cares,
Daily seeking God's kingdom first;
Trusting solely in Jesus Christ.
We have life in God's reigning Son:
We grow, awaiting His return.
