Only then shall I know

by Royston

When time has passed away and eternity has begun
and I stand before the throne of God, The Almighty One
When this mortal body has put on immortality:
only then shall I know how much my Lord has done for me.

When earth is no more and the new creation's taken place
and I enter heavens glory by God's amazing grace.
When the wonderful face of my Lord Jesus Christ I see:
only then shall I know how much my Lord has done for me.

When I'm standing there clothed in righteousness not my own
worshipping with all the angels gathered around His throne.
When I sing with unnumbered saints in wondrous harmony:
only then shall I know how much my Lord has done for me.

Then my heart and soul in all their strength will proclaim
the inconceivable glory of my Saviour's name.
There gathered with saints and angels throughout eternity
I shall sing of how much my Lord Jesus has done for me.
