by A Janeen Quillman

I would like to ask you about
A time that is called "Someday".
I can't find it on my calendar.
Do you know if it's on the way?

I've made so many plans for when
That day finally arrives.
If you could see my lengthy list,
I think you'd be surprised.

I want to visit a sick friend,
Make an overdue phone call,
Plan a budget and stick to it,
But there is more, that's not all.

I've heard about Jesus Christ and
Want to change my ways for Him,
But don't think I've been bad enough
To repent of many sins.

So if you hear about Someday
Please tell me so I can do
All the things that I have planned
And finally say I'm through.

But don't call me in the morning
As I usually rest till ten,
And don't call in the afternoon
My TV show comes on then.

Oh, I don't like to be disturbed
In the evening while I eat.
On second thought don't call at all
I may just be asleep.
