The Splintered Mirror

by Kathleen Higham

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Am I hurting most of all?
Go through the motions, play the role
But who is really in my soul?

Do I care or do I not?
Do I do as I ought?
Who can truly know but me?
When in a shattered mirror I see.

Memories of one once held dear
In the crack of a splintered mirror
Feel the sorrow in His tear
As He whispers, "I'm still here."

Matthew 28:20
“And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Amen.
