THE PREVAILING WORD
Through endless ages He endures,
To every human ill brings a cure,
Sharper than a two edged sword
Is the liberating and living Word.
Through varied times and seasons,
His Word gives each one a reason.
On His promises we can stand,
As we seek and come to understand:
On the pages of the Bible lies
Precious secrets from God only wise
A love letter to you and me
Full of grace and truth to set one free.
The grass withers and flowers fade
Still He speaks to a generation renegade
The truth of His Word will outlast
When our time on earth is past.
The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.
Isaiah 40:8
