EPHESIANS 6v10-17

The devil points his finger Col. 1v22
And accusations flow. John 5v24.
The blemishes of past life Rom. 8v1
Seemed all too much on show. Psalm 139v23.
But then I was reminded Col.2v14.
Of what the Lord had done, Rom.6v4.
So I pointed back the finger
As I thought of God's own Son. 2 Cor.5v21.

The devil stirred up memories 2 Cor.5v17.
Of things done in my past. Rom.6v4.
He said I was not worthy, Rom.5v8.
He said my faith won't last. Heb.11v1.
But then I was reminded Heb.8v12.
Of what the Lord had said, Isaiah 1v18.
And I shouted in the devils face Isaiah 43v1.
The things that I had read. 2 Tim.3v16.

The devil spoke in whispers, John 8v44
Of people close and dear. Luke 6v37.
And I started to believe him,
And my heart began to fear. Rom.8v15.
But then I was reminded, Isaiah 40v28-31.
He's the father of all lies, 2 Sam.22v31.
And I faced his accusations James 4v7.
For his whispers I despise.

The devil like a lion 1.Pet.5v8
Roars and prowls about the land.
He's looking to devour us, 1 Cor.10v13
To disrupt our lives and plans. Rom.12v21.
But he cannot shake our foothold, 2 Tim.2v19.
For the word of God is true. Psalm 18v2.
He cannot pass our shield of faith Psalm 91v4.
Or defeat our sword of truth. Heb.4v12.
