Don't Look Back

by Julie Carro

Our life is but a story told, a chapter in God's plan,
The tale of joy and heartache; the destiny of man.
Scribed by the ink of choices, our lives complete the pages,
To leave a testimony, that will last throughout the ages.

Will your chapter be a mystery, leaving one to query,
An adventure marked in history, exploring every theory?
Will your story leave men longing, to walk a similar path,
Or leave a trail of sorrow, confusion, pain ,and wrath?

No matter what your past is, you're the author of your fate,
If your chapter hasn't ended, then it will never be too late,
To turn the tides of time, to a never-ending story,
A transcript of eternal life; a masterpiece of glory!

A book that shines in heaven, with God's enduring Light,
And written on the pages, is what's precious in His sight.
The stories of His children's, redemption from the earth,
Won't you now consider, what this Book of Life is worth…

Only don't look back and wonder, what you might leave behind,
Just give your heart to Jesus, in one simple line....
"Lord, I am a sinner, please cleanse me of my sin,
For I believe You lived and died, and then You rose again!"

Now your chapter has been edited, and you can know for sure,
That your story is included, in a Book that's true and pure.
Every sin has been erased, that was written in your past,
And your chapter has been named...Salvation, Free At Last!!!

Philippians 3: 13,14
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
