Yet I Will Rejoice In The Lord

by Margaret Cagle

In every day of every week,
In every month of every season,
We see problems all around us.
To complain, we can find a reason.

If we have Jesus in our hearts,
We can look at problems and say,
"I have joy in the God of salvation.
I will rejoice in the Lord today."

Things may not run smoothly,
And trials may seem to abound,
Yet we can rejoice in the Lord,
For blessings can always be found.

We may lose a loved one to death
And our grief is so hard to bear,
Yet we can still rejoice in the Lord,
For we know He is always there.

We may lose businesses or jobs,
And the future may seem so dim,
Yet we can rejoice in the Lord,
For we can always trust in Him.

I can always rejoice in the Lord,
Whether the times are good or bad.
I can have joy in my salvation.
It is the best gift I have ever had!

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake. Psalm 23:1-3
