My Godly Mother

I thank God for my mother.
I don't know where I'd be
If my mother had not loved me
Enough to always pray for me.

She loved me unconditionally
And taught me to live right.
She taught me Bible verses
And prayed with me each night.

Oh the many sacrifices I know
That dear Mother made for us.
She put our needs above her own.
She would never complain or fuss.

My mother lives in Heaven now.
I know she is very happy there.
I will know her when I see her
By the smile that she will wear.

Happy Mother's Day, dear Mother!
I miss you oh so very, very much.
I miss your voice and laughter.
I miss your loving, gentle touch.
