My Father, Who So Loves Me

by raymond sides

He gives me love I just can't understand,
and He guides me by His light, so that I may see.
When I fall, He helps me up by taking hold of my hand,
that's my Father, who so loves me.

He kisses me with sunshine day after day,
and by His grace, my every need, He will see.
He lifts me in my spirit when I start feeling blue,
that's my Father who so loves me.

He said that I would never be hungry, thirsty, or ragged,
and that He would fill my heart with joy, while making me happy and free.
My Father cannot lie and all of His wonderful promises are true,
that's my Father, who so loves me.

The one and only God, the Father of the redeemed,
He saved my soul and set me free.
He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus,
who took my place on the cross, that's my Father, who so loves me.

He has made me a home in heaven, with streets of pure gold, gates of pearl,
walls of jasper, and untold beauty that I long to see.
That's my God, who is so truly loving, kind, compassionate, and caring,
and that's my Father, who so loves me.
