Near To The Golden Shore

by Margaret Cagle

The sun is sinking low.
My trials are almost passed.
I'm drawing ever nearer
To that Golden Shore at last.

My spirit within me sings
Of the glories I will see.
After a few more sorrows,
From this world, I'll be free.

I long to see my Savior,
The One Who bled and died.
On Calvary, for my sins,
Jesus Christ was crucified.

He shed His blood for me.
From sin, I am set free.
I am on my way to Heaven,
And I will shout the victory!
