Waiting Patiently on the Lord

Knowing that the end of a matter is better than its beginning,
We need to have patience in order to keep on winning.
Patience is so much better than your talked about 'pride'.
Our Lord has so often told us He will amply provide.

Don't let your spirit be easily provoked;
Christ Jesus died on the cross and became blood-soaked.
The lack of patience will only fuel anger,
And we must remember this is a clear danger.

Anger resides in the lap of a fool,
Don't mistreat anyone as this is so cruel.
A patient person has great understanding;
How wise these words are and still not demanding

If we hope and have patience for what we do not yet have,
The Lord tells us to wait, as this is a soothing salve.
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace and patience,
Something we need to practice and not put in abeyance.

Kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control,
are all fruits of the Spirit and also attainable as a goal.
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him;
The Lord Jesus will be by your side and a faithful stand-in.

I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry.
There was no substitution and no need for Him to clarify.
Be patient and bearing with one another in love.
God will protect us as we are well thought of.

We need to as God's chosen people clothed ourselves with patience.
The aroma derived from this spirit has a wonderful fragrance.
Love is patient, so let us never forget,
I have come to realize that I am not there yet.
