Crash

by Jeff Phipps
http://lostsoulforgiven.com

A life full of anger, rebellion and lies.
Sin was the game, death was it's prize.
I was the master, I played the game well
disguised by a mask so no one could tell.
I fell in the chasm deep and wide,
pulled ever downward, shackled by pride.
Finally I hit bottom, crashed to a stop.
My body lay broken on Jesus the Rock.
Battered and bruised from sin's deadly fight
I turned my eyes upward, looked into the light.
Jesus was waiting with arms open wide.
I was pulled into His love by grace's strong tide.
No longer a prisoner or slave to sin,
washed by His blood a new life begins.
