purpose

by Oddmannout

Where does this road go?
What will be tomorrow?
What will I have to show
for my time spent here?

Money that won't last,
regrets from my past
Time slips away so fast
and all I have is heartache and fear

What if I die
to find that this world lies
and in the outer darkness I cry
as it all becomes clear

That it's not about me
what I want or want to be!
Blind eyes open to see
It is about a God who counts me so dear

That He would die for my sin
give me a new life to begin
His will my purpose until the end
Those with ears, hear.

Psalm 37:1-11; 39-40
