Storing Your Treasures

If you store your treasures,
in heaven above . . .
you will become wealthy
in peace, joy and love.

If you are poor,
in a world full of richness
you will be loaded
in hope and forgiveness.

If you are pure,
in thought and deed
your spiritual assets
will exceed your need.

If you are merciful,
around the proud
with God’s grace
you’ll be endowed.

If your treasures,
aren’t worldly plush
the ones in heaven
will be forever flush!

Matthew 6:19-21

“Lay not up for yourselves
treasures upon earth,
where moth and rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves break
through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves
treasures in heaven,
where neither moth
nor rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves do not
break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is,
there will your heart be also.”
