Without The Lord's Stength

Without the Lord’s strength,
like ice I would melt
from the frigid hand
in life, I’ve been dealt.

Without the Lord’s strength,
like the sand I would shift
if not for His grace
I’d be in a faithless drift.

Without the Lord’s strength,
like a towel I would fold
if not for His love
I’d be left out in the cold.

Without the Lord’s strength,
like a box I would cave
if not for His power
I’d still be to sin a slave.

Without the Lord’s strength,
like a flower I would fade
if not for His mercy
I’d be alone and afraid.

Without the Lord’s strength,
like a tree I would fall
if not for His forgiveness
I’d be nothing at all.

Without the Lord’s strength,
mercy, power, grace and love
I would be lost . . .
like a hand, missing a glove!

Isaiah 40:29

“He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might
he increaseth strength.”
