Sitting in my room

by Howard Tarant

As I sit here in my room, I wonder what to write
Just waiting for ideas, but none seem to be right

I'm waiting on the Lord to deliver me a speech
But all I seem to get is a lesson I should teach

I asked myself what message does the Lord want me to give?
He responded with a note that said this is how to live

Wake up in the morning and get on your knees and pray
Ask Me what I want of you and listen to what I say

The voice inside that your hear, you know it will be mine
Listen, be obedient and things will turn out fine

Thank me for the gospel of my one and only son
For the blood He shed at Cavalry, the battle has been won

Be joyful in your day, no matter where you go
Whatever you say or do, don't forget I know

I want your love so dearly, I cry out every day
Come to me, oh come to me, this is what I say

Your days on earth are numbered, you only have a few
My Son He came to save you, and yes He was a Jew

Mary was His Mother and Joseph was his Dad
The birth that night in the stable, made much of the world glad

My one and only Son, wasn't sent to earth in vain
He was sent here for a reason, to relieve the world of pain
