Thievery Paid For

by Raydene Nash

For many who would steal without a thought,
By lashes, nails, for all becoming sin,
The price was paid by Jesus, they’re blood-bought,
If only they would let the Savior in.
There is no fear of God before their eyes,
No consideration for His values.
It need not come across as a surprise
That they may give no ear to the good news.
With no consideration for the poor,
The dishonest weigh without just measure.
With evil concupiscence and rapport,
Grudging thieves divide ill-gotten treasure,
Perhaps no wiser that their sinful actions
Christ Jesus paid for to God’s satisfaction.
