Without your light

When I stray from Your light
The world seems to be so cold
And alone in the darkness
My fears can't be controlled

You would think I would've learned
I've been here many times before
Because without Your light in my life
Everything becomes such a chore

I am so tired of this struggle
With no real end in sight
But for some unknown reason
I can't seem to get my mind right

I really do try
Each and every day
Knowing only Your light
Can show me the way

So I continue on, this very day
Hoping that I will finally learn
From my oh so many mistakes
Praying Your light will stop this burn
