As The New Year Disappears

Although not here yet, a new year is on the way,
If it comes, will it be around for a full years stay?
There will be one that does not last it's duration,
Jesus returns before that new years celebration.

This will happen, yet only God knows of the date,
All we need do is be ready and to watch and wait.
As Jesus appears, for any unprepared, it's too late,
By failing to accept Him, they seal their own fate.

Gods tells us what we need to be heaven bound,
In Ephesians 2:8-9, is one place that it'll be found,
To have you fully ready for the meeting in the air,
For Jesus has prepared a place to take you there.

If the new year arrives, celebrations fill the street,,
It happens every year, being a people of repeat..
If Jesus comes, it's celebrations of a different kind,
By those going to heaven, leaving this life behind.
