Light unto my path

by James Cowart

Your ways are better,
than mine could ever be.
Show me the path,
Lord help me to see.

If the wrong road,
I should ever use,
Straighten my thoughts,
And help me to choose.

A path that is pleasing,
As it rolls along,
Keep my thoughts busy,
Teach me right from wrong.

If the wrong road,
I should repeat,
Be a light unto my path
And a lamp unto my feet.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not
His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that
the world through him might be saved.
John 3:16,17
