Cast It Out Into The Sea

by Charles Burleson

Cast it out into the sea,
For those are the things that hinder me,

The lust of the eye,
The pride of life,
The internal struggles,
The riffs and strifes,

Missed opportunities to give God glory,
giving my opinion and not the whole story,

Lord forgive me when I miss,
the mark You have set on my endless list,

A list of people,
A list of task,
Of noble jesters,
And things You asked,

Of me to do,
Of me to tell,
Not just for you,
But your Church body as well,

And when we meet of that faithful day,
Good and faithful servant is what I am hoping You say.....

The LORD is my Rock, and my Fortress, and my Deliverer;
my God, my Strength, in whom I will trust;
my Buckler, and the Horn of My Salvation, and my High Tower…
Psalm 18:2
