Stuff

by Margaret Cagle

The word "stuff" could be a verb,
Or "stuff" could also be a noun.
Stuff could be all our belongings,
Or we can stuff our pillows with down.

Achan took of the accursed things,
And he hid it all under his stuff.
Israel lost a battle; Achan lost his life.
Coveting stuff can make things rough.

In our lifetime, we collect stuff,
And we place a value on each thing.
We lay up treasures on this earth
Such as a house, a car, or a ring.

The Bible speaks of eternal treasures.
Those treasures will last forever.
Those things we do for Jesus Christ
Will never fade away, no never.

We lay up treasures on this earth
Such as a house, a car, or a ring.
