My Prayer

Dear Father Son and Holy Ghost
Your love is the gift I cherish the most
Thank you for the blessings you let me see
And your great faithfulness shown unto me

Life is a blessing and you wonders delight
Your nature by day and the sky at night
All of your creatures that walk, swim and fly
And the sea and the landscape that pleases the eye

My friends and my family are another great gift
The love at our church that gives me a lift
Please give me a purpose to do your will
And strength and guidance your tasks to fulfil

I wish I could help to secure world peace
To protect your planet or try to at least
To feed the hungry, help the sick and the poor
And persuade all people to welcome your law

I'm asking too much but please help me to start
Make me humble and willing with a kind loving heart
I'll just try my best for that's all I can do
Whilst I constantly offer my praises to you
