Keep the Faith

by Raydene Nash

In this age to keep our faith we battle
So many things that take us off our course.
Hearing lively, juicy tales of prattle,
Or unsound doctrines, Jesus not their source,
An accidental touch, a laugh, a wink,
A little lie, omission of the truth,
Though these seem harmless, they're worse than you'd think.
Perhaps it's movies showing for the youth
Depicting violence or the new age myth.
They are a pastime better done without.
All thoughts denying who Christ is forthwith
We'd best not entertain; beware of doubt..
Do not be sidetracked from God's saving grace,
For on the cross Christ Jesus took our place.
