Thy Will Be Done

by Margaret Cagle

Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane,
"If possible, let this cup pass from Me."
"If this cup may not pass," said God's Son,
"But not as I will, but Thy will be done."
Jesus Christ chose to do His Father's will.
He chose to die on a cross on Calvary's hill.

Jesus took our sins upon Him that day.
His shed blood provided salvation's way.
He said, "Thy will be done" and was crucified.
He willingly went to the cross and died.
Praise God! Our Savior didn't stay dead.
He arose from the grave just like He said.

God's will for each is to receive God's Son.
Accept Him as your Savior, the only One.
He is alive and seated at God's right hand,
Up in heaven in that wonderful Glory land.
He intercedes for each of us when we pray.
Accept Him, and you'll go to Heaven one day.
