Keep It Alive

It must be nurtured,

or it won't remain the same.

It's a fire that will die

if we do not fan the flame.

The passion starts out hot

but quickly can grow cold.

Constantly we must be on guard

lest it become stale , old.

Many are the distractions

that will seek to take its' place.

If we find the glow is waning

we must do an about face.

A necessary commodity

as on this earth we trod;

we'll never make heaven our home

if we lose our love for God.

Matthew 24:12,13 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
