I pray for…

Dear Lord Jesus,

I pray for wisdom, just the right amount —
To appreciate the blessings I've found.
I pray to have faith like a mustard seed,
And to be true in word and in deed.

I pray you'd make me beautiful inside,
And for a heart that has nothing to hide.
I pray for a kind heart, full of Your love;
That I may be harmless like a dove.

I pray my tongue may speak wise words,
To comfort a brother or sister who hurts.
I pray Your name I'd be proud to say,
And for feet that follow gladly in Your way.

I pray for patience to run the race,
And that I may always seek Your face.
I pray for a willing spirit, without fear;
And I pray to have ears that truly hear.

I pray to have eyes that clearly see;
And for my hands, that they ready be —
Dearest Lord, Your work to do……
I pray, Jesus, to be a little bit more like You!
