Doubts

When You feel so far away?
We hear about You desiring to talk to us,
Why can't we hear You today?
We read about Your arms being wrapped around us,
And yet we don't feel You there.
We pray to You for healing for loved ones, so close,
And we wonder if You hear.
We have to trust You, not what we see, think or feel,
Because it's not always true.
The enemy can speak to our minds and our souls,
Influence what we think too.
We need to realise those thoughts are straight from satan,
And he's out to destroy us.
He wants to wear us down and tempt us till we fall,
But we're the Lord's, He has us!
We need to have a healthy fear of Father God,
That's a reverential awe.
We need to pray with a sincere and humble heart,
And into His presence, draw.
We need to meditate on the truths in God's Word,
When they sink in, we'll be free,
We need to remember it's not just that He loves,
But that God is love … in me!
