The Mountain To Climb

by Grady A.

To bring glory to you,
and to please your heart,
O God, what must I do?
Where shall I start?

If you want me to praise,
and have others do the same,
teach me your ways,
and I'll do the same,

For I know truth is found through you,
and I know evil is not your name,
But where can I find you?
And is life just a game?

Which path leads to light?
Which path leads to dark?
For I am blind of insight,
And I search for that spark,

I need you lord my God,
I need your security,
For I am endlessly flawed,
Reveal yourself to me,

For that day I die,
You have declared,
It won't be a goodbye,
But an answered prayer.
