Psalm 51

Because of Your loving kindness
Lord, have mercy upon me.
For Your compassion is great;
Blotting out my iniquity.
Cleanse me and wash away my sins;
If in Your sight I’ve done these ills.
When You speak, You will be just.
With Your grace You are judging still.
I, in all Man’s iniquity,
Was formed in the womb within.
My parents who conceived me
Were full of guiltiness and sin.
You knit me in the inward parts.
With Your Grace, You also mend me.
With Your Wisdom, You’ll make me know
That without You what I would be.
Of fruitfulness and joyfulness,
You instructed me by Your Voice;
So my bones and soul You’ve made
Will break into songs of rejoice.
All my sins are blotted out,
That made my face hide from my sin.
Create a clean heart and renew
A right spirit from within me.
Don’t cast me from Your Sight; Nor take
the Holy Spirit away.
Restore to me Your Salvation,
And have Your Holy Spirit stay.
A broken spirit is to You
A pleasing and well sacrifice.
A contrite and broken heart;
Lord, You will never despise
