As far as the East is from the West

by Royston © 2020

I’m so sorry Lord, but I’ve come back once more
For I’ve done that sin that I did before.
So I’m kneeling at the cross to confess
that I’ve got myself into such a mess.

My child it’s good that you have come to me,
But I’ve no record of you sinning previously
I cast them as far as the east is from the west
and remember no more the sins you’ve confessed

Oh, Lord my God, I’ve never known One like You
Who’s willing to forgive the things I do.
Such mercy is so wonderful to me.
How can You forgive and let me go free?

My Child, I loved you so much that I gave
My One and Only Son your soul to save
and by His death and loving sacrifice
He laid down His life to pay sins awful price
