Jesus the Heavenly Bread

Christ Jesus is the Bread from heaven -
The bread that feeds us for evermore.
He gave Himself a ransom for us all;
Our sins and shame on the cross He bore.

Christ Jesus is the true and Living Bread
That to all who hunger, God will give.
Whosoever partakes of His broken body;
Forever and ever they will live!

Because this is the 'work' of God:
To believe in His only begotten Son Jesus.
God meant for us to live by Him always;
He is our strength, our sustenance.

All who believe, and come to Jesus -
He'll raise them up on the very last day.
This is the good and perfect will of God:
That no believer be lost in any way.

Jesus alone can still our spiritual hunger;
Jesus alone fulfills every need…
Only in Jesus we find life everlasting -
He is the true Bread from heaven indeed!
